Five scholarships are now available to students diagnosed as having an Autism Spectrum disorder. These scholarships can be used to meet the cost of course fees of VET courses aimed at gaining employment in Information Communication Technology and will be up to $5 000 each.
To be eligible for the scholarship, the applicant must:
- be able to enrol as a student at a TAFE or registered training organisation in 2017 in a full time nationally accredited Certificate IV in Information Technology or Programming, or Diploma course in Information Technology or Software Development;
- have an Autism Spectrum disorder; and
- have a good academic record.
