Six new videos to help young Australians navigate the workforce

Transitioning from school to training or the workforce is a lot easier when you know what to expect, and what is and isn’t fair treatment in the workplace. As well as paid employment, young Australians are increasingly looking at unpaid internships when looking for work experience – do you know what is and isn’t appropriate when it comes to working for free?

These topics are explored in the six new videos featured below, produced by The Foundation for Young Australians and the Australian Government Fair Work Ombudsman.

New AAPathways website demonstration sessions

The Australian Apprenticeships and Traineeships Information Service is launching a new AAPathways website on Thursday 31 August 2017. The new website is designed to make finding information and resources on Australian apprenticeships even easier than before.

They have scheduled free, interactive face to face sessions to demonstrate the improvements and functionalities of the new website to be run on Tuesday 19 September in Perth.

Areas of the website that will be reviewed at these sessions are:
• Site search
• Job and training descriptions
• Field Officer brief
• Industry information pages
